I would imagine that the client who used the "auditor" had a bad experience while the client who used the "assessor" had a good experience. I work as a Practice Lead for a relatively large group of QSAs for a Security Consulting organization. Our philosophy is to PARTNER with our cliets to understand their business model so that we are in position to better ASSESS their environment, and by having a strong knowledge of their business model, we can position ourselves to be a TRUSTED ADVISOR to our clients when it comes to addressing any gaps.
