Excellent blog again. But what developments could alleviate the job loss fear that has driven the masses to give up their independence ..?

Good question. Personally, I think American workers are afraid to speak out because they might lose their jobs. If they lose their jobs then they lose their health insurance. If they lose their health insurance then they could be placed in a life threatening position with no financial means to pay their medical costs. In Europe, this doesn't happen because there is universal health coverage and also the unions are much stronger.

It's been said that the difference between Americans and the French is that in France the government fears the people whereas in American the people fear the government. Look at what happened in France yesterday. 2.5 million union workers took to the streets to protest government policies. I wish to God that 2.5 million American workers would march on Washington to make their concerns known. But, alas, there is always that fear...
