The truth of the matter is that security vendors suffer security breaches on the scale and rate of frequency of other businesses. Yes, ideally; this should not be the case; but it is. Every major security vendor from McAfee to Symantec have suffered public security breaches, and Kaspersky is just the latest. Ironically McAfee and Symantec have been having a field day (in their cometitiev sales pitches) of this latest ‘security outing’; forgetting that they two have suffered some publically breaches, and possibly countless more internal ones.
Doctors are not immune from getting sick; Security vendor are not immune from being hacked and their systems infected. C’est la vie.
